Front uprights assembled with assistance from Garry Simkin. We will assemble the rear uprights on Thursday and then commence re-assembly of the gearbox.
No progress as yet on the engine rebuild unfortunately as we are still awaiting parts from Hall and Hall.
As an engineering student I and my fellow rookies drank beer in order that we could practice our construction skills stacking the empties. Some habits remain.
Front axle, crack tested and cleaned, with new outer thrust bearing and spacer installed. The new greased up inner thrust bearing, Nylos ring and end cap are in the background.
Upright being heated which then expands, allowing the thrust bearing race to drop into the recess.
